Meet EurGeol Dr Sandy Archibald, PGeo, Aurum’s Technical Director based in our Canadian office.
Sandy has over 27 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry and has participated in academic and industry projects throughout the Americas, Europe and Africa. He has been involved in gold, base-metal, uranium, diamond, and nickel exploration and has carried out extensive research on Au-Ag metal-rich geothermal systems. He is also a former Director of AIM-listed Alba Mineral Resources, a past-President of the Irish Association of Economic Geology, and a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geology.
Sandy is currently a director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), and a former Council Member (Canada and SE Asia) for The Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits (SGA). He is a registered Professional Geologist (PGeo) through the Institute of Geologists of Ireland, and the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO).
